What happens in a Custom Shade appointment?

During the 5-10 minute appointment we will use the shading guides to customize the shade for your replacement crown. We will take a series of photos, and ask a series of questions to ensure that we are providing the appropriate restoration and aesthetics for your needs.

What is the best type of crown?

Each and every case is treated individually. The material and restoration type will depend on many different factors, including aesthetics, strength, colour, among others. Ask your dentist for different crown options.

How quickly can my crown be made?

Different types of crowns go through different workflow streams, and it may vary from restoration type. A single unit can vary from 1-3 weeks in production, while an implant crown can take as long as 4 weeks to produce.

How long do you need my partial for?

That will depend on the restoration type and partial. Typically we will need the partial at the beginning and the end of the process, but it will vary from case to case. Our team will contact you to make arrangements.

Can I come straight to the lab instead of through my dentist?

No. As a dental lab and registered dental technicians, our certification does not allow us to work directly in a patient’s mouth. Your family dentist will do the preparation work and insertion.
